Iowa City Liberty High has proudly served North Liberty, Coralville, Iowa City, and the surrounding areas since 2017. Like our fully comprehensive sister schools in the Iowa City Community School District, Liberty offers an expansive and rigorous curriculum that includes numerous Advanced Placement (AP) and honors courses, as well as a comprehensive fine arts program. Our co-curricular programming offers a wide variety of clubs and the full range of interscholastic varsity sports that compete as active members of the Mississippi Valley Conference.

Honors Diploma Program & Criteria
The Honors Diploma is designed to enhance academic preparation and challenge students with rigorous coursework. Successful completion of the criteria will result in the Honors designation being placed on their Liberty High transcript and diploma. Additionally, an Honor's Diploma Medal will be awarded to wear at graduation. Students will need:

2. The completion of 4 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, one in each of the four core areas, including sitting for each AP exam.
3. The completion of 2 additional AP courses in any content area after the initial AP course in the given content area. The student must also sit for each AP exam.
4. A minimum GPA of 3.800 (unrounded).
5. A minimum cumulative ACT score of 28 (SAT score of 1520).
